We need volunteers for the farmers market, as well as many of our events (including the Farm to Table Dinner and 100 Mile Dinners)!

2025 Jonesborough Farmers Market
Saturdays May 3rd to October 25th (except July 5th and October 4th). More details can be found here.
All volunteers are overseen by the market manager. Shifts include:
Set-up only - 6:30 to 7:30 am (likely finished sooner)
Help us put up canopy tents for the information booth, music, seating, and special guests. You’ll also help set up the tables and chairs for the seating and music areas. Be prepared to walk a fair amount and move 25+ pounds in all weather conditions.
Set-up and Information Booth - 7:30 to 10 am
Help us put up canopy tents for the information booth, music, seating, and special guests (if anything is unfinished). You’ll also help set up the tables and chairs for the seating and music areas. Be prepared to walk a fair amount and move 25+ pounds in all weather conditions.
Help set out the merchandise and informational flyers at the information booth.
Sell merchandise, monitor the walking program, and answer questions.
Information Booth and Clean-up - 10 am to 12:30 pm

Clean-up only - 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Kids activity on select days - 7:30 to 10 am and 10 am to 12:30 pm
At the direction of the market manager, help conduct the Nourish Knoxville-sponsored kids activities. These will be once per month only. This is perfect for people who are great with kids and teaching.
Tasks include leading or assist in leading the activity itself, ensuring all paperwork is filled out by a guardian, serving the produce sample, and giving out the produce bucks at the end of the activity.
Be prepared to interact with a lot of children ages 2-12 and parents in a short amount of time. We have the budget for 50 kids per day. We’ll be out in all weather conditions.
Are you not physically able, but still want to volunteer? We can restrict the information booth shifts to just the booth with no set-up or clean-up.
