Boone Street Market FAQ
Why should I shop local when I can?
Across the nation, farmers receive only 14.9 cents per food dollar spent. At Boone Street Market, direct-to-consumer vendors receive at least 75% of the price you see on the shelf. We collect the other 25% to cover our costs like infrastructure and utility expenses, staff wages, and marketing. More of your money goes to your neighbors and stimulates the local economy. 68% of every dollar spent with small businesses like ours goes to the local economy as opposed to 30-40% with a national chain.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, debit/credit cards, SNAP-EBT cards, eligible Incentive Program tokens, and checks payable to Boone Street Market. There is no additional charge to use a card.
Where can I park?
There is parking available in front of the store and across Boone Street. If there is another event in town, parking may be limited. Please refer to the Town of Jonesborough’s parking map for alternative lots.
Can I bring my dog into the Boone Street Market?
NO. While we love pets, Boone Street Market prepares food items on site. For this reason, we can only allow service animals in the store. All other animals will be asked to leave. Thank you for your cooperation.
